Dorcas Circle
This women's group gathers once a month in the fellowship hall for a luncheon meeting.
Most of the women who participate are non-working or retirees. Each month
hostestess(es) provide the table settings, decorations and provide coffee and dessert.
Members normally bring their own sandwich or salad. After fellowship over lunch, a short business meeting
& program is held. Programs might be a video, guest speaker or bible study.
An offering is taken at each
meeting, which is used to support
delegates to conferences, support the National Women of ELCA, and support the Florida-Bahamas Synodical
Women's Organization. Dorcas Circle works in conjunction with the Quilters Guild to support Lutheran World
Relief with quilts and book bags.
