Pastor's Welcome
Hello and welcome to St. Matthias Lutheran Church. My name is Pastor Bill Magee and I would like
to invite you to continue browsing our web site as well as come worship with us if you find yourself
in the Clearwater, Florida area.
St. Matthias is a vibrant community of Christians that have been called by God's Spirit to gather around
God's spoken Word as well as the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Absolution. We are a very loving and
family oriented congregation that greatly values the gifts of both members and visitors alike.
We firmly believe Christ is present with us in our liturgical worship, and therefore feel our worship
is the foundation on which our lives as Christians are built. We profess the Triune God: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit, and we confess Christ crucified and risen. We believe in God's salvation by grace
through Faith in Jesus Christ. In response to this good news, we move out in the spirit of Christian love
into various ministries both within our church and our surrounding community.
Whether you are a permanent resident, a winter resident, or simply on vacation in the area,
we cordially invite you to gather with us.
